Biomaster additives are used to give permanent Antimicrobial properties to textiles and fibers. Many people associate the dangers of cross infection and bacteria with the hands, but textiles are the perfect breeding ground for bacteria.
Odour Control
Bacteria thrive in the moisture (sweat) between fibres in clothing. The odours associated with sporting activity are produced by bacteria such as Pseudomonas breaking down sweat and producing offensive mal-odours (body odour).
By treating a textile with Biomaster you prevent odour causing bacteria living and breeding within your clothing. Biomaster treated textiles are resilient to washing and can be tailored to last the life time of the article.
Cross Infection
Many healthcare applications benefit from having Biomaster treated uniforms, drapes, bedding and curtains. Biomaster can be easily added to any healthcare textile and so is a simple, effective and durable solution to protect patients and staff.
Food Preparation
Biomaster is the ideal additive for textile application in the areas of food preparation clothing where E.Coli, Salmonella and Listeria can easily breed on a textile once contaminated. By continuously preventing bacterial growth on food related textiles it gives an extra line of defense in preventing the spread of dangerous food bacteria.
Our Biomaster treatments for textiles are an extremely versatile additive allowing them to be applied using all know textile techniques, is highly wash durable and presents no hazard to the user or manufacturing process. Biomaster will not interfere with any other textile treatment and is 100% compatible with today's required hydrophilic and Hydrophobic effects, and unlike most other Antimicrobial treatments Biomaster will not have any visual effect on white textiles.
Biomaster has been tested against over 50 bacteria in over 2000 applications normally achieving a 99.99% reduction. Due to the efficacy of Biomaster only a very small addition level is required ensuring a very cost effective textile treatment.
